The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is underway, with hundreds of thousands of bikers and spectators expected in and around the Black Hills.

South Dakota Department of Public Safety Spokesman Tony Mangan says there will be a heavy presence around the rally……

Mangan says they state has asked for outside help during the rally…..

Mangan says they are asking people to be smart, and drive responsibly……

The rally officially runs through Sunday.
