A team from the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Department has been working the Missouri River below Gavins Point Dam for the last several years, keeping an eye on habitat and fish populations.

Stukel says the fish habitat has also changed…………….

Stukel’s team also continues to look for signs of natural reproduction of the endangered palid sturgeon, but have not seen any to this point.
