The Missouri Sedimentation Action Coalition has been talking about the growing silt problem in Lewis & Clark Lake for years, but there has been little action so far.
Yankton City Commissioner Charlie Gross says there are federal programs now available to take the steps needed to possibly address the siltation, but it will take local cooperation…..

Gross says there are a number of studies to build on……

Gross told the commission Monday night it will still need local governments and local dollars to be involved…..

Gross says M-SAC will be asking local and state governments to assist in the match money needed for the federal grant.
