Loan Officer Says Nebraska Flooding Damage Is Extensive

The flood waters are receding in northeast and northcentral Nebraska and now the cleanup and damage assessment begin. Nick Luchsinger is a loan production officer for First Dakota National Bank and Dakota Mac in Columbus. He says the rural infrastructure damage is extensive and is slowing the movement of ag products to and from market.

He says there is still no official tally on the number of livestock that were lost in the flood.

Luchsinger says feed mills and processing facilities are also slowly starting to get back to normal, but it may take time.

He has been impressed with how the communities in the state have come together with support both financially and mentally during this difficult time.
