In their first year of eligibility, the Sioux Falls Little League team representing South Dakota is one win away from Williamsport.
Wednesday’s 6-5 win over Missouri has put the South Dakota team into Saturday’s championship game in Indiana. They will face one of three other teams still alive in the losers’ bracket from Nebraska, Iowa and Missouri.
Saturday’s winner will advance to the national tourney in Williamsport, Pa.
