A group of wind power supporters has formed to push for the rejection of a setback ordinance passed by the Lincoln County Commission.
Dakota Power Community Wind has been working to develop a large wind power farm in the southern part of the county.
Brian Minish (ma-nish’) with Dakota Power Wind says the ordinance would kill wind power in the county…..

Minish says rising county expenses show the need for the wind project…..

Beresford Mayor Jim Fedderson says the project would be a big benefit for his town…..

Opponents of the project say it is not needed, and will be an intrusion into their rural homes.
The special election will be held July 18th.
