There continues to be a lot of discussion about three Husker players taking a knee during the National Anthem at last Saturday’s game.  The players claim they were exercising their First Amendment right.  Lincoln attorney Bob Evnen says there are arguments to be made on either side and it may not be a clear cut case.

Evnen says there is a general rule in the Athletic Department.

The American Civil Liberties Union is applauding the actions of the three players for exercising their First Amendment rights.  In a statement they were shocked the government would consider sanctions to discipline the athletes.
