President Obama released his last budget request this week for the fiscal year starting in October.
The massive spending document has money for programs all over the country, including the Lewis & Clark Regional Water System.
Executive Director Troy Larson says they got an increase…sort of…..

Larson says it now falls to Congressional representatives from the three states to increase that funding level….

Larson says there is frustration all around…..

The project is pumping water from wells south of Vermillion, and piping it to towns and cities in South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota. It has been continuing construction with financial advances from the three states.
