Four angle wells used by the Lewis & Clark Regional Water System are being capped off.
Executive Director Troy Larson says they got some bad advice on those wells…..
Larson says the wells have not operated as had been hoped……
Larson says the new wells should provide enough water for the next few years……
Larson says the new wells will cost about one point six million dollars. The system pipes water to towns and cities in South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota from the well field south of Vermillion.
