The Lewis & Clark Regional Water System has awarded two more pipeline contracts.
Executive Director Troy Larson says the first contract was to move water closer to Madison……
Larson says while the pipeline helps, it doesn’t directly hook Madison to the Lewis & Clark system…..
Larson says the other contract is to continue work in Minnesota…..
The project is now about sixty seven percent complete, and estimated to cost about five hundred seventy million dollars.
The project pipes water from wells near Vermillion to towns and cities in South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota.
