Lewis & Clark Regional Water Project in Line for More Federal Funding

The one point four trillion-dollar 2020 federal budget was passed and signed into law before Congress left Washington for the holiday break. It funds the government through the end of next September.

Included in that is more funding for rural water projects.

Troy Larson, Executive Director of the Lewis & Clark Regional Water Project says they hope to see more money next year…

Larson says they will be able to keep construction more or less on track…

Larson says they have seen a jump in federal funding over the last few years…

Larson says the project is closing in on eighty percent completion. The project supplies towns and cities in South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota with water from wells near the Missouri River south of Vermillion.
