Legislative Task Force Hears About First Responder Trauma

A legislative task force dealing with the mental health of first responders held its first meeting last week.

Committee co-chair, Representative Ryan Cwach of Yankton says they heard many stories of the trauma first responders experience on the job….

Cwach says there is a lack of overall mental health access in the state..

Cwach says they will continue meeting into the fall…

Cwach says they want to hear from more first responders about the issues they are dealing with. The task force meets next on September 17th.
