The Nebraska Association of County Officials is holding their annual legislative conference this week.  On the agenda are several issues facing Nebraska counties. NACO Executive Director, Larry Dix says one of those is the current zoning situation within the state…

 

Dix says there will be a presentation about the effects that the EPA’s proposed Waters of the US Rule would have on county road maintenance.  He says the association has also compiled their platform and legislative priorities…

 

Dix says also on the schedule is a discussion on fiscal notes and the counties’ role in making sure the state understands the impacts of state policy on local government.  The conference will be held this Thursday in Kearney.
