The battle against the Clean Water Rule published by the Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is continuing. While several groups and attorneys general have taken the agencies s to court over their rule, legislative efforts are going on in both Houses of Congress to stop the regulation. Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley says in the Senate, one measure has made it out of committee to force the agencies to start over.

Grassley says House members have put together legislation that will defund both EPA and the Corps. He says the Senate will likely approve the House bill.

The Clean Water Rule is set to go into effect August 28.
