Legislation sponsored by Kansas Congressman Mike Pompeo is being considered in the House. It calls for national labeling of biotech products. Center for Accountability in Science’s Dr. Joe Perrone says he opposes labeling G-M-Os or biotech products.

Perrone is also opposed to state laws that call for labeling of Biotech or GMOs. He says having a national labeling standard would be the lesser of two evils. He says biotechnology has been very beneficial and will pay large dividends in the future.

Last week the House Energy and Environment Subcommittee held a hearing on Congressman Pompeo’s legislation.
