Lawmakers Receive Official Revenue Numbers

South Dakota lawmakers got the official revenue numbers yesterday as they work through the final full week of the 2015 session.
Those numbers show revenue projections will be low by about ten to fifteen million dollars for this year, and next year.
Representative Jean Hunhoff of Yankton is a member of the Appropriations Committee. She says they want to stay on the conservative side.

Hunhoff says while fifteen million dollars may not seem like a lot compared to the overall budget, the drop is an indicator.

Hunhoff says they also heard that the lack of a growing workforce will factor into future revenue growth.

Final action on bills is expected today so legislators can focus on the budget through the rest of the week.
