Late Start for Severe Weather

Late Start for Severe Weather

As the first warm breezes of March move in, severe weather usually isn’t far behind. The last two years have seen low numbers of watches and warnings in the middle part of the country.
Brian Smith is the severe weather coordinator for the National Weather Service office in Valley Nebraska. He says this year has been pretty quiet across the entire country……………

Smith says they watch the severe weather pattern that usually develops across Texas before moving north…………

Even with the above normal temperatures, the lack of moisture means no chance of severe weather anytime soon.
Severe weather awareness week in Nebraska will start March 23rd.
