The Nebraska Unicameral wrapped up the 2015 session last week by passing a budget, then overriding the Governor’s veto of the death penalty repeal.

Governor Pete Ricketts criticized the body, saying Senators were out of touch with the people they represent, especially on the death penalty repeal. Larson says not all issues should be “all or nothing”…
Larson voted to sustain the Governor’s veto on the override.
He says overall, he thought he had a pretty good year…
Lawmakers also increased the gas tax by six cents a gallon, and allowed children of illegal immigrants the right to get a driver’s license.
