The National Association of Basketball Coaches announced the NABC Division I All-District teams on Friday for 2014-15, and South Dakota State senior Cody Larson earned all-district 12 first team honors.
“This is a great honor for Cody and for our basketball team,” head coach Scott Nagy said. “We know what he means to our team, but an award like this shows that other coaches see that as well.”
A 6-9 forward from Sioux Falls, Larson earned All-Summit League First Team and Newcomer of the Year honors in 2015 after averaging 13.9 points and a team-high 7.2 rebounds per game in his senior season. He also added a team-high 37 blocks, the 10th best single-season total in school history.
Larson joins former Jackrabbits Nate Wotlers and Jordan Dykstra to earn NABC honors, with Wolters earning second team honors in 2011 and first team in 2013, when the NABC named him a Division I All-American. Dykstra earned second team honors last year.
