Last week, 10 South Dakota ag producers were in Mexico on the South Dakota Soybean See For Yourself Tour. Tulare, South Dakota producer Larry Nielson says by taking the tour he learned how important a market, Mexico is for South Dakota’s soybean growers.
He says while NAFTA needs to be updated, it’s still an important deal for growers in all three countries, the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
Nielson says there are several future opportunities for U.S. ag trade to Mexico going forward.
