The Mount Marty College Archery Team is starting off the year with national wins over the weekend at the National Field Archery Association (NFAA) National Outdoor Target Championships held at the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center.

This two-day event featured a 90-arrow scoring round at 60,50 and 40 yards on Saturday followed by a 60-arrow scoring round at the same distances on a smaller target on Sunday. Archers’ final ranking was determined by the two-day cumulative score out of a possible 1,500 points.

Brianna Notebaert (FR/Palmyra, NY) took home the coveted silver championship bowl in the Adult Female Compound Freestyle division with a score of 1,446. Fellow Compound Freestyle archer Hannah Mathison (FR/Springfield, OR) brought home bronze with a score of 1,398. McKenna Cooley (SO/Henderson, NV) claimed her second consecutive national title in the adult female Olympic Recurve division with a score of 1,242. Carson Sapp (FR/Cairo, GA) finished with a bronze medal in the Pro Male Compound Freestyle division with a score of 1477.
