In addition to her athletic accolades, Fasching is a member of the National Honor Society, and is serving as the NHS President for her school in the 2015-16 school year.  She has also been active in the Knowledge Bowl and is a 4-H Club officer.

Head women’s basketball coach, Tom Schlimgen, is excited to welcome Shelby to the team. “We are thrilled to have Shelby decide to continue her academic and athletic careers at Mount Marty.  She is a great example of a student who has been very productive both on and off the court, which we like to base our program on.  Her size, scoring ability, and rebounding are things we look forward to her adding to our program on the court; and we are just as excited about the talents she will bring to our campus outside of basketball as well.”
