Lancer Earns GPAC Award

The Great Plains Athletic Conference announced its baseball Players of the Week, including an honor for a Mount Marty Lancer player.

Pitcher – Blake Svoboda, Mount Marty College
Svoboda, a junior from Hartford, South Dakota, propelled the Lancers to a 5-0 win over Morningside as he pitched a complete game no-hitter with 10 strikeouts. Svoboda is currently 4-2 on the season with a 3.26 ERA.

Player – Eduardo Yanez, Doane University (Infield/Designated Hitter)
Yanez, a senior from Mexico City, Mexico, hit .462 on the week. He had a pair of home runs to go along with nine RBI.
