July rainfall has pushed many lakes in west central Minnesota to near record levels. A significant rain event last week dumped between seven and ten inches in Kandiyohi and surrounding counties. DNR Hydrologist Ethan Jensen says nearly all the water in this region drains into the Minnesota River, which is usually pretty dry this time of year. He says that’s not the case this year
A slow/no wake order remains in effect on all Kandiyohi county lakes.
