Lack of Minnesota Snow Leads to Burning Permits

A lack of snow across parts of Minnesota has resulted in the Department of Natural Resources requiring burning permits in some areas.  DNR wildfire prevention supervisor Linda Gormanson says a burning permit is required if there is less than three inches of snow on the ground

 

Gormanson says overall, 98-percent of wildfires in Minnesota are caused by humans.
