Weather experts are now predicting that the La Nina effect in the Pacific Ocean will fade away in the next few months.
Kentucky State Climatologist Stuart Foster says they are seeing the La Nina pattern now……

Foster was moderating the monthly North Central Climate Outlook Update.
A La Nina occurs when Pacific Ocean surface temperatures cool below normal levels.
He says they expected to see a strong La Nina into next year…..

Foster says some of the conditions expected with a La Nina will linger…..

The three-month predictions for January through March indicate normal to below normal precipitation and temperatures.
