Nebraska Democratic Party chair-elect Jane Kleeb says the national party should make Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders chair of the party in wake of emails disclosing the party apparatus worked against his campaign.

Kleeb says the email scandal has caused pain among Sanders’ supporters. She suggests a fix

Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz of Florida resigned in wake of leaked emails which confirmed suspicions that party insiders worked against Sanders and for Hillary Clinton during the party’s primaries and caucuses.

Kleeb says the Nebraska delegation has not taken part in the demonstrations against Clinton

Kleeb says the release of the emails and the continued work to unite the party give Sanders’ supporters leverage during the convention.
