Nebraska Democratic Party chair Jane Kleeb is calling for the resignation of state Auditor Charlie Janssen after he admitted to showing up to work late and spending long lunch hours at a sports bar.

Kleeb faults Governor Pete Ricketts for not joining her in calling for Janssen to step down.

But Ricketts says Janssen has pledged to him his work habits will change

The Omaha World-Herald broke the story, reporting that Janssen spent 10 of 20 work days at Brewsky’s, meeting for lunch with friends, drinking beer…then going home.
