The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission is preparing for several days of hearings in late July on the recertification of the Keystone XL pipeline route. Those hearings were delayed after opponents said they could not quickly process the volumes of data that Trans Canada had released.
PUC Chairman Chris Nelson says he doesn’t think either side is stalling.
Nelson says there were thousands of pages of documents that were delivered to the PUC and opponents.
Nelson says he thinks they will soon be ready for the hearings.
At least four days have been set aside for the hearings in late July.
