The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission decided to delay the evidentiary hearing regarding the Keystone XL Pipeline. The hearing had been scheduled for May 5 through the 8 but now will be held later. The P-U-C is expected to set a new hearing date this Thursday. Yankton Sioux Tribe’s Faith Spotted Eagle says the time is needed so all the parties can go through all the potential evidence in the case.
Spotted Eagle also says one of the discovery motions revealed there are no plans filed by Trans Canada on the pipeline to cover safety concerns.
Two possible re hearing dates discussed by the P-U-C this week indicated they are considering postponing until the final week of July or the first week of August.
