During the last weeks of this school year, the Yankton School District sent out a text to parents notifying them that a registered sex offender had moved near Stewart Elementary School.

Superintendent Wayne Kindle says that came after an alert from Yankton Police….

Kindle says there was a history with this sex offender, identified as Ken Stark….

Kindle says the bottom line is safety….

Sioux Falls Police then reported that Stark had moved back and re-registered there. According to the Yankton Police Department web site, there are about fifty registered sex offenders living within city limits.
