Winter Wheat harvesters in Kansas have now wrapped up their harvest with the biggest crop in the last thirteen years. Kansas Wheat’s Vice President of Research and Operations Aaron Harries says they were able to produce record yields.
He says great weather conditions during the peak growing time allowed them to get that record yield.
Harries says protein levels were down but test weights were up.
He says they have a great milling crop but will have to turn to the spring wheat in order to get better protein levels.
