Johanns Concerned About VA

Nebraska Senator Deb Fischer is calling for the resignation of Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki for his failed leadership in addressing the growing national scandal surrounding the agency. However, Nebraska’s other Senator Mike Johanns says that he is concerned about the agency running without a leader during the lengthy time it would take to vet a new leader.

Johanns questions whether the recent disclosures on the treatment of our nation’s veterans reflects the culture of the Veterans Agency.

There are allegations that up to 40 veterans may have died while awaiting treatment at the Phoenix VA center.
