Job Growth Predicted For Yankton County

Economic developers expect good job growth in Yankton County over the next five years. Yankton Area Progressive Growth President John Kramer told a group attending a “State of the Community” lunch that they expect six to eight hundred new jobs to be added in the next five years. That was up from the estimate last year, and Kramer said they added in the growth in health care employment…

 

Kramer says one of the steps to help fill that employment gap is development of a new website…

 

Kramer says they are seeing wages rise in the county due to the job expansion…

 

Kramer says they have also received grants from the state that allowed them to hire a fulltime workforce development coordinator.
