The number of jobs in Nebraska is expected to top one million this year for the first time in state history.
Job growth is expected to produce a total of 1.1 million jobs by the end of 2015.
Governor Dave Heineman says the state must continue to aggressively recruit students to Nebraska colleges.
Acting Labor Commissioner John Albin says he’s not worried that continued job growth combined with the low state unemployment rate will lead to a worker shortage that could limit growth.
Health services and education expects to add jobs next year as do the industries of professional and business services as well as carpentry.
Nebraska is forecast to see the number of jobs grow through 2015 by about two-and-a-half percent.
