The Platte Institute for Economic Research reports that government red tape is interfering with business development in Nebraska.  Executive Director Jim Vokal says food trucks are a perfect example of how regulation can ruin a business.  He says in Omaha there is a restaurant tax and whether food trucks should be included should be a topic of discussion.  He is against location laws.

Vokal says government red tape is gumming up the works for some wanting to start small businesses in the state.

Vokal says people are not staying and creating new businesses because of the current laws on the books.
