District Manager Dave Bartel says they continue to work to improve the flow and water quality in and along the river….

Bartel says silt flowing into the river is a major control problem….

Board members got a look at the preliminary budget for next year, which will total just over nine hundred sixty thousand dollars. Bartel says they have kept that budget flat for several years….

The board oversees management of the river that enters the state in Brown County, and flows into the Missouri River just east of Yankton.
