Pat Cerny of Yankton was named to the James River Water Development District Board at their meeting in Yankton Thursday.

She will fill the District 8 vacancy that came open when former Director Dan Klimisch moved out of that area.

Cerny says she has been following the actions of the board….

Cerny says its important to have representatives from cities and rural areas….

Cerny says she hopes to have role helping improve water quality in the river…..

Cerny formerly headed up the South Dakota Water Congress.

The James River Water Board oversees conservation efforts in the James River watershed from the North Dakota border to the Missouri River on the Nebraska border.
