A change in load limits on a bridge over the James River caught the attention of Yankton County Commissioners.
Load limits on the so called “Fleegs Bridge” on Old Highway 50 northeast of Yankton were dropped after a recent bridge inspection.
Commission Chairman Todd Woods says the bridge was built over sixty years ago….
Woods says engineers will come back with some suggestions for the bridge at a September meeting….
The limits were dropped from forty tons to twenty-five for a combination truck, and to nineteen tons from twenty four for a single vehicle.
