Problems with the mouth of the James River in Yankton have officials wondering what can be done to prevent the deposition of sediment and backing-up of the river. Yankton County Commissioner, Allen Sinclair, says the problem can’t be solved by the county alone.
He says any small project would only temporarily fix the problem.
While there aren’t any plans yet, Sinclair says the talks will continue to find a solution.
