Nearly three thousand people turned out at the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph Minnesota to remember and honor the little boy who stole our hearts nearly three decades ago. The community memorial service for Jacob Wetterling was filled with music, prayer and hope:

Patty Wetterling says it was every hug and every kind note that has given her family the courage to move forward:

Wetterling says she will continue the fight, to bring more missing kids home:

Jacob went missing in 1989 from near his rural St Joseph home.
53 year old Danny Heinrich of Paynesville pleaded guilty to a lesser charge after leading authorities to Jacob’s remains last month.
