South Dakota State and South Dakota had final soccer tuneups Sunday.

South Dakota State shook off a weather delay and early deficit in its final exhibition Sunday, turning in a dominant performance against Manitoba to walk out of Fishback Soccer Park with a 5-1 win.

SDSU recorded 26 shots in the game, placing 17 on goal. Bianca Madonia put up four points, assisting on a pair of early goals before scoring one of her own. Madison Chapman had a goal and an assist for three points while Nicole Hatcher (four shots), Darien Poelstra and Marisa Schulz scored as well.

An early goal doomed the South Dakota soccer team Sunday afternoon in a 1-0 exhibition loss to Drake at First Bank and Trust Field.

The Bulldogs scored in the 11th minute of action when Kasey Hurt sent a corner kick into the box that Rebecca Rodgers got her head on and crossed the goal line in the left corner of the frame.
