South Dakota State will make its fourth consecutive appearance in the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs and will travel to Montana in first-round action on Saturday.
Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Mountain Time (2 p.m. Central) at Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula, Montana. Both teams are at-large selections, with SDSU entering the matchup with an 8-3 overall record and Montana at 7-4 overall. Ticket information will be released when it becomes available. The game will be available for viewing on ESPN3.com.
The playoff appearance will be the fifth in the last seven seasons for the Jackrabbits, who have a 3-4 all-time record in FCS postseason games. SDSU will be playing at a Big Sky opponent in the first round for the third consecutive year — the Jackrabbits defeated Northern Arizona, 26-7, in 2013, and recorded a 47-40 victory at Montana State last season.
The winner between SDSU and Montana will advance to face third-seeded North Dakota State on Dec. 5 in Fargo.
