– South Dakota State dominated in-state rival South Dakota in the HPER Center Pool Friday night as the men won, 189-111, while the women found the win column with a 182-116 rout of the ‘Yotes.
In all, SDSU won 21 events on the night.
On the men’s side, sophomore Chris Angerhofer swept the distance events as he won the 1000 free in 9:49.34, while also touching first in the 500 free in 4:46.13. Likewise, Alex McLain picked up a sweep in the backstrokes. The senior won the 100 back in 52.00 and the 200 in 1:55.97.
In the 100 breaststroke, junior John Overman took first with a time of 58.07, while fellow junior Ben Bolinske won the 50 free in 21.02. In the 100 free, sophomore Daniel Jacobson won with a time of 46.72. Garth Wadsworth also won the 100 fly in 51.72, while newcomer Donovan Taylor won the 200 IM in 1:58.73
Senior Connor Florand picked up a pair of wins on the boards as he scored 271.88 on the 1-meter board and 328.43 on the 3-meter board.
