South Dakota State dropped the final game of its Canadian preseason tour Sunday, falling 83-64 to Carleton at the Ravens’ Nest.
The Jackrabbits led for much of the first half, but the Carleton Ravens found their rhythm down the stretch to defend their home court in the weekend finale. SDSU shot 32.3 percent from the field with 11 3-pointers, adding a 13-for-14 effort at the charity stripe.
Carleton finished 44.3 percent from the field, shaking off a cold-shooting first quarter where the Jacks held them to 26.3 percent and 1-for-10 from deep.
SDSU had three in double figures, led by Mike Daum’s 18 points, as the senior sank four 3-pointers. David Jenkins and Skyler Flatten each finished with 17 as Flatten added a team-high five steals.
The Jacks finished the trip 2-2 overall with wins over McGill and the University of Ottawa.
