Saturday’s South Dakota State loss to top rated North Dakota State in the Dakota Marker game has cost the Jacks to slip in the national FCS polls, but not out of the top five.

SDSU was rated third in both major polls going into last weekend’s contest. The Jacks are now #4 in the FCS STATS ratings and fifth in the coaches poll.

North Dakota State has been number one all season and James Madison is the runnerup. The Missouri Valley Football Conference is also represented in the top ten of both polls by Illinois State and Northern Iowa.
