The South Dakota State University football team will be in search of a bounce-back victory Saturday as it hosts Indiana State in the Jackrabbits’ Missouri Valley Football Conference home opener.
Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium. The game can be heard on 570 WNAX.
Both teams are in search of their first league victories of the season. SDSU dropped a 21-17 decision at top-ranked North Dakota State on Sept. 29 to fall to 2-1 overall.
Indiana State, meanwhile, dropped to 2-2 overall after being shut out, 33-0, at home against nationally ranked Northern Iowa in its league opener on Sept. 27.
Saturday’s game has been designated not only as the annual Hall of Fame Game, but as the inaugural Precision Agriculture Bowl. A groundbreaking ceremony for the new on-campus Raven Precision Agriculture Center is scheduled for Saturday morning.
The 2018 Jackrabbit Sports Hall of Fame class of Tiffini (Schuebel) Kramer, Ann (Westby) Lamer, Chad Lamer and Jason Sempsrott, along with Ralph Ginn Award honoree Mike Kesler, will be recognized at halftime of Saturday’s game.
