Chris Halbur was named to the all-Summit League First Team as postseason awards were announced Tuesday on the eve of the Summit League Baseball Championship.
A senior right-hander from Manning, Iowa, Halbur received first-team honors as a relief pitcher. He enters postseason play tied for the league lead with nine saves and has compiled a 3-0 record with a 0.65 earned run average.
SDSU, 25-22 overall, is seeded third in the Summit League Baseball Championship and will face third-seeded North Dakota State (29-23 overall) in opening-round action at noon Wednesday. Top-seeded Oral Roberts (39-14) and No. 4 Western Illinois (18-30) are slated to meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
