South Dakota State basketball returns to Frost Arena Thursday for the 2016 Jackrabbit Tipoff event.

The first opportunity for fans to meet the 2016-17 men’s and women’s Jackrabbit basketball programs begins at 7 p.m. The free season-opening event for the upcoming campaign features player introductions, video features and several competitions, including 3-point, slam dunk and junior slam dunk contests.

Fan interactions include raffles for signed basketballs from the men’s and women’s programs, as well as individually signed basketball from women’s head coach Aaron Johnston and men’s head coach T.J. Otzelberger. The first 500 fans inside Frost Arena will receive a free Jackrabbit decal, courtesy of Outlaw Graphics.

The slam dunk contest will be judged by both head coaches (@CoachOtz and @Coach_AJ), a Rabbit Den member (chosen on the night of the event) and a season ticket holder to be chosen at random.
