–South Dakota State earned three of the league’s weekly swimming and diving awards this week following its performance at the Minnesota Challenge. Clark Kocourek, Blake Yeager and Andrea Budahl were all recognized by the Summit League Tuesday afternoon.

 

Kocourek recorded two, top-six dives on the weekend. In the three-meter dive, the Omaha native scored 314.25, which was good for third place. He also placed sixth in the one-meter dive with a mark of 298.20. This is Kocourek’s third career Diver of the Week award.

 

Yeager finished with a pair of top-10 times on the weekend as he finished the 1,650 free in 16:19.80, which was good for third. He also finished eighth in the 200 free with a time of 1:44.85?. This is the junior’s first career Swimmer of the Week award.

 

Budahl’s three, top-four time earned her Swimmer of the Week for the third time in her career. Budahl won the 400 free in 5:07.01, took second in the 200 fly in 2:07.63 and touched fourth in the 200 free in 1:54.65. Budahl’s 200 fly time was the second-fastest in the league this season.

 

SDSU will return to the pool Feb. 19 at the Summit League Championships in Indianapolis, Ind.
